Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee financial consolidation, reporting, accounting accuracy, audit coordination, intercompany reconciliations, financial analysis, and internal-control improvements across multiple companies or business units.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong accounting controls, supporting management decision-making, and improving financial processes in line with accounting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the consolidation of financial statements across multiple companies and business units.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports.
• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions, balances, and related accounting entries.
• Ensure financial reports are accurate, complete, and compliant with accounting standards and company policies.
• Supervise the preparation of management accounts, financial analysis, and reporting schedules.
• Review financial statements, accounting records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with internal finance teams and business units to obtain accurate financial information.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, reporting issues, and intercompany differences.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, profitability analysis, and management reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
• Prepare and review audit schedules, supporting documents, reconciliations, and explanations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, working papers, schedules, and financial documentation.
• Ensure timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Review journal entries, consolidation adjustments, and financial reporting entries when required.
• Monitor compliance with internal policies, accounting procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, internal controls, and documentation standards.
• Strengthen internal controls to reduce reporting errors and improve financial governance.
• Work with accounting software, ERP systems, and Excel-based reporting tools.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling financial, business, and management information.
• Perform any other finance, accounting, reporting, or control-related duties assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Fully or partly qualified in CA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience in financial consolidation is preferred.
• Previous experience handling accounts for multiple companies or a group of businesses will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and consolidation processes.
• Experience preparing financial statements, management accounts, audit schedules, and supporting reports.
• Good understanding of intercompany accounting and group reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, lookups, and data analysis, will be an advantage.
• Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar systems.
• Experience with ERP systems will be preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple reporting requirements.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and professionalism.
