Role Overview

We are seeking a technically strong and commercially minded Assistant Manager – Pricing (Agency) to support life insurance product pricing, actuarial analysis, regulatory submissions, product documentation, and sales compensation scheme evaluations.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Pricing Head and cross-functional teams to support the actuarial product development process, prepare pricing-related documents, contribute to product discussions, and assist with submissions to group-level stakeholders and local regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the pricing of life insurance business products.
• Assist in evaluating sales compensation schemes from a pricing and actuarial perspective.
• Prepare pricing-related submissions for group-level review and local regulatory requirements.
• Assist in product design, product specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Develop regulatory filing disclosures for new life insurance products.
• Prepare approval documents for senior actuarial review and sign-off.
• Support documentation required for Group Office and Chief Actuary approvals.
• Contribute to discussions on new and existing products with cross-functional teams.
• Work with actuarial, product, finance, distribution, compliance, risk, and operations teams.
• Analyze pricing assumptions, product features, sales structures, and commercial considerations.
• Support management presentations relating to newly developed products.
• Explain product pricing, design elements, and actuarial considerations to relevant stakeholders.
• Support the Pricing Head in managing the product development process from an actuarial perspective.
• Ensure pricing work is aligned with actuarial standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate pricing documentation, analysis files, reports, and approval records.
• Assist in reviewing product profitability, risk factors, and business impact.
• Provide technical input on pricing matters and sales compensation-related initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement of pricing processes, documentation, and actuarial reporting.
• Perform any other actuarial, pricing, product-development, or reporting duties assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Degree classification of First Class or Second Class will be preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an actuarial function.
• Strong knowledge of actuarial reporting is required.
• Experience in life insurance pricing, product development, actuarial analysis, or sales compensation evaluation will be preferred.
• Good understanding of life insurance products, pricing principles, assumptions, and profitability considerations.
• Experience preparing regulatory filings, approval documents, actuarial reports, or product documentation will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good commercial and business acumen.
• Ability to understand the connection between product pricing, sales compensation, profitability, and business strategy.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain technical actuarial and pricing concepts clearly to business stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Team development and mentoring skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and organizational skills.
