About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Executive – Production to support daily production operations and ensure planned production end dates are achieved while maintaining required quality standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring production efficiency, managing workforce utilization, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve production targets and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations Management

• Monitor daily production activities to ensure planned production targets are achieved.
• Manage line attendance and address absenteeism to maintain adequate staffing levels.
• Monitor production output and efficiency metrics and implement improvements where required.
• Ensure sewing and packing operations are completed according to production schedules.
• Coordinate with line supervisors and production teams to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Quality & Process Improvement

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to ensure production output meets required quality standards.
• Identify and resolve quality issues through corrective and preventive actions.
• Work closely with Garment Technologists and Industrial Engineering teams to improve production quality and consistency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Operational Coordination

• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure timely resolution of equipment-related issues.
• Liaise with suppliers and support functions to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Support production planning and execution activities to avoid delays and bottlenecks.

People Management & Team Support

• Handle production-floor issues involving machine operators and production staff.
• Provide guidance and support to team members while maintaining a productive work environment.
• Escalate employee-related concerns to HR when necessary.
• Support training and development programmes to improve workforce capability and performance.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, labour laws, and operational standards.
• Promote safe working practices within the production environment.
• Support adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certification in Garment Manufacturing or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a production-related role within the apparel manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of garment production processes, machinery, and manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Strong commitment to quality, productivity, and operational excellence.
