Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced, technically competent, and results-oriented Washing Plant Manager to lead and manage all washing plant operations within a leading apparel manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence across garment washing processes, ensuring production targets, quality standards, cost efficiency, compliance requirements, and delivery commitments are consistently achieved. This position requires a strong leader with deep technical expertise in apparel washing operations, resource optimization, process improvement, and people management. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the overall washing plant operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and uninterrupted production activities.
• Develop and execute production plans in line with customer requirements, production schedules, and delivery commitments.
• Monitor daily production performance and ensure achievement of productivity, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Manage and optimize manpower, machinery, chemical consumption, utilities, and operational resources to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Ensure all garment washing operations comply with required quality standards, customer specifications, and production requirements.
• Monitor washing quality and investigate production issues while implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational performance.
• Ensure effective utilization and maintenance of washing plant machinery and equipment.
• Coordinate with Maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime and improve plant reliability.
• Manage washing chemical usage and ensure proper handling, storage, and process control practices are followed.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Merchandising, Planning, and Technical teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor plant KPIs, production efficiency, wastage, quality performance, and output levels.
• Prepare operational reports and provide management with recommendations for performance improvements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, sustainability initiatives, workplace safety requirements, and chemical handling standards.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and industry best practices.
• Lead, coach, and develop washing plant teams while fostering a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Support workforce planning, employee development, and succession planning initiatives within the department.
• Drive operational excellence across all washing plant activities while supporting organizational growth objectives.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in apparel washing operations.
• Proven experience in a managerial, plant leadership, or washing plant management role.
• Strong technical expertise in garment washing processes, washing chemicals, fabric treatments, and industrial washing systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of apparel manufacturing quality standards and washing requirements.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, resource allocation, operational efficiency, and process optimization.
• Experience managing large operational teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and chemical handling regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to drive productivity improvements, cost control initiatives, and operational excellence programs.
• Experience working in export-oriented apparel manufacturing environments will be highly advantageous.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven manufacturing environment.
