About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager – Finance & IT to oversee and lead both Finance and Information Technology functions within a fast-paced export-oriented manufacturing environment. This role requires a strategic professional capable of driving financial excellence, optimizing ERP systems, and ensuring robust IT operations that support business growth and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess strong financial management expertise, hands-on ERP experience, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to bridge finance and technology to deliver business value.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Management

• Manage the overall finance function, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cost control activities.
• Prepare and review management accounts, financial reports, and performance analyses.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance to support decision-making.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely submission of audit requirements.
• Ensure accurate inventory accounting and reconciliation processes.
• Maintain compliance with statutory, tax, and financial reporting obligations.

ERP & Systems Management

• Oversee the effective operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the ERP system.
• Coordinate with ERP vendors and service providers for troubleshooting, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across the ERP platform.
• Lead ERP optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reporting capabilities.
• Train and support users in maximizing system utilization and effectiveness.

IT Management

• Manage the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, and user support functions.
• Ensure data security, system reliability, and business continuity measures are in place.
• Oversee software, hardware, networking, and technology-related projects.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation to improve business processes.
• Ensure IT operations align with business objectives and industry best practices.

Leadership & Process Improvement

• Lead, mentor, and develop Finance and IT teams to achieve departmental objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operational processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support organizational goals.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior management through financial and operational insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification in CIMA, ACCA, CA Sri Lanka, or an equivalent professional body.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in Finance, ERP, or IT-related functions.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP platform.
• Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and reporting requirements.
• Experience in ERP implementation, administration, or process improvement projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Added Advantages

• Exposure to Power BI, business intelligence tools, and process automation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and production-related financial processes.
