Role Overview 

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Azure DevOps Analyst to take ownership of Azure DevOps as an enterprise delivery platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for platform administration, governance, security management, process configuration, reporting, user enablement, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Azure DevOps ecosystem. This role requires a strong understanding of Azure DevOps administration, Agile delivery practices, governance frameworks, access management, reporting structures, and enterprise-scale platform design. The ideal candidate will possess both technical expertise and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure the platform remains secure, scalable, auditable, and aligned with organizational delivery objectives. 

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Azure DevOps organizations, projects, and enterprise configurations.
• Manage user accounts, access levels, permissions, security groups, and role-based access controls.
• Implement and maintain least-privilege access frameworks and governance controls.
• Manage project-level, team-level, repository, pipeline, and service connection permissions.
• Create and administer Azure DevOps teams while supporting organizational delivery structures.
• Configure team backlogs, boards, sprint settings, capacity planning, and team-level settings.
• Design and manage area paths, ownership models, and cross-team reporting frameworks.
• Configure iteration paths, sprint calendars, release structures, and multi-team delivery cadences.
• Administer Azure Boards inherited processes and associated configurations.
• Create and modify work item types, workflows, states, fields, business rules, and process customizations.
• Configure work item templates, backlog hierarchies, dependencies, and relationship structures.
• Develop and maintain shared queries, dashboards, reporting structures, and query governance models.
• Support program, portfolio, PMO, backlog, sprint, defect, test, release, and executive reporting requirements.
• Manage platform notifications, subscriptions, and communication settings.
• Configure and govern Azure DevOps integrations through service hooks, webhooks, and other connected services.
• Assess, install, manage, and govern Azure Marketplace extensions while ensuring security and compliance.
• Develop and maintain Azure DevOps administration standards, governance procedures, support documentation, and operational runbooks.
• Conduct platform audits and ensure compliance with governance, security, and operational requirements.
• Provide training, guidance, and best practice recommendations to users, teams, and administrators.
• Drive platform adoption, data quality improvements, and continuous process enhancement initiatives.
• Support stakeholders by ensuring Azure DevOps is effectively optimized for delivery, collaboration, reporting, and governance.

Candidate Profile

• Proven hands-on experience administering Azure DevOps within enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of Azure DevOps organization management, project administration, and platform governance.
• Experience managing permissions, security groups, user roles, and access control frameworks.
• Strong experience configuring Azure Boards, backlogs, sprint management, and Agile delivery workflows.
• Experience customizing work item types, fields, states, workflows, and inherited processes.
• Strong knowledge of governance, auditability, reporting, compliance, and operational controls.
• Experience developing dashboards, reports, queries, and executive-level performance tracking.
• Experience managing integrations, service hooks, webhooks, and platform extensions.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and enterprise delivery methodologies.
• Ability to evaluate platform design decisions and explain their impact on security, usability, supportability, reporting, and compliance.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience training users, supporting adoption initiatives, and driving continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently while engaging effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to governance and operational excellence.
