Role Overview

The Head of Outbound Holidays will lead the overall strategy, product development, sales performance, and operational effectiveness of the outbound holidays business. This role is accountable for revenue growth, margin optimization, product competitiveness, team leadership, and strong collaboration with airline and group entities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute the outbound holidays strategy aligned with group and airline commercial objectives

  • Identify new destinations, markets, and customer segments to drive sustainable growth

  • Define annual budgets, sales targets, and growth plans, ensuring profitability and ROI

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to maintain competitive offerings

Product Development & Contracting

  • Oversee the design of outbound holiday packages including air, hotels, transfers, experiences, and ancillaries

  • Work closely with airline teams to optimize flight inventory, schedules, fares, and promotions

  • Lead negotiations with DMCs, hotels, ground handlers, and suppliers to secure competitive rates and exclusive products

  • Ensure products are differentiated, competitively priced, and aligned with brand standards

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 8–10 years experience in outbound leisure travel or tour operations

  • At least 4–5 years in a senior leadership role

  • Strong commercial and P&L management experience

  • Proven track record of building and scaling profitable holiday products

  • Experience working with or alongside an airline or airline group is a strong advantage

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning skills
