WE ARE HIRING : Tech Lead FinCrime Team

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead to join our FinCrime Team, reporting directly to the Product Manager. As part of an agile development team, you will work on enterprise-grade software systems built on the Microsoft .NET stack. You will provide technical leadership, mentor a high-performing team, and deliver innovative solutions in FinCrime prevention and detection, leveraging the latest technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software developers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct 1:1s, provide constructive feedback, and support career development of team members.
• Define and contribute to the technical vision and strategy for the FinCrime product suite, ensuring compliance with business and regulatory requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement secure, scalable, and robust software solutions across areas such as:
• Onboarding: KYC/AML optimization, identity verification, and customer due diligence.
• Attestation & Authentication: Secure and user-friendly authentication mechanisms.
• Real-Time Transaction Screening: Monitoring and screening engines for suspicious activities.
• Risk Systems: Risk scoring and assessment models.
• Fraud Services: Fraud detection leveraging data analytics and machine learning.
• Permission Management: Role-based access control (RBAC) and permissioning systems.
• Promote best practices in software development, including code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, bottlenecks, and production issues proactively.
• Stay up to date on emerging trends in financial crime, cybersecurity, and software development.

Requirements:

Experience & Education

• Degree in Software Development or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software development, including 2+ years in a leadership or senior technical role.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in .NET development.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, architectural patterns, and API design.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., Couchbase, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with the CQRS pattern.
• Proven experience in FinCrime, AML, KYC, Fraud Detection, or Risk Management systems in fintech or financial services.

Plus Points

• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming (Kafka or similar).
• Knowledge of machine learning for fraud detection or risk scoring.
• Strong grasp of security best practices and secure coding.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Proven ability to lead and influence teams effectively.
• Experience with performance management and development planning.
• Track record in delivering structured software development projects.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Desire to remain hands-on and technically up to date.
