WE ARE HIRING: Senior Tax Accountant

Location: Colpetty, Colombo (On-site)
Experience Required: 4 - 6 years in tax accounting (UK tax experience preferred)

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to manage UK client tax portfolios and deliver accurate compliance and advisory services. This role offers international exposure, working directly with the London-based Founder & Director, and involves mentoring junior staff while supporting innovative UK technology startups.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review UK corporation tax returns using TaxCalc.
• Provide practical advice on tax compliance, planning, and structuring for UK-based clients.
• Ensure all filings meet HMRC requirements and deadlines.
• Liaise with UK clients to address tax queries and provide clear guidance.
• Maintain documentation for tax computations and HMRC submissions.
• Ensure compliance with AML and GDPR regulations.
• Collaborate with UK-based colleagues for seamless client service delivery.
• Mentor junior accountants and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Fully qualified ACCA or CA (UK tax experience preferred).
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in tax accounting, ideally within a UK-focused practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK corporation tax, VAT, and personal tax compliance.
• Proficiency in TaxCalc, Xero, and QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
