Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, target-driven, and customer-focused Business Development Manager / Executive to drive sales growth across audio visual technology, video conferencing, digital signage, unified communications, and related technology solutions.

The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, promoting technology solutions, liaising with vendors, attending business events, and achieving agreed sales and performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales for video conferencing, audio systems, digital signage, unified communications, and related technology solutions.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across corporate, education, FMCG, financial, trading, and multinational client segments.
  • Generate leads through market research, networking, referrals, events, seminars, and direct client engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable audio visual and technology solutions.
  • Prepare sales proposals, quotations, presentations, and solution recommendations.
  • Conduct client meetings, product presentations, demonstrations, and follow-up discussions.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and project requirements with customers.
  • Convert prospects into long-term clients and support repeat business opportunities.
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to support solution development and delivery.
  • Coordinate with technical and project teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated.
  • Attend industry events, seminars, client meetings, and networking opportunities to generate business.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer needs, and emerging AV technology developments.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales pipelines, follow-up notes, and activity reports.
  • Work towards achieving and exceeding agreed sales targets and performance objectives.
  • Provide regular sales updates, pipeline reports, and market feedback to management.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service and professional communication.
  • Support continuous business growth through proactive account development and relationship management.

Candidate Profile

  • Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Higher Diploma, Graduate Diploma, or degree in any field.
  • Degree in Technology, Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field will be preferred for Manager-level candidates.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or related commercial roles will be preferred.
  • Experience in IT, AV products, video conferencing, audio systems, digital signage, unified communications, or technology solutions will be a strong advantage.
  • Experience working with overseas markets will be an added advantage.
  • Strong customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Good negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, external clients, vendors, and business partners.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and general office tools.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Target-oriented, energetic, confident, and commercially driven.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to manage customer interactions professionally.
  • Willingness to attend client meetings, events, and seminars when required.
