WE ARE HIRING : Senior Executive – Finance & Accounting cum Operations 

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Senior Executive – Finance & Accounting cum Operations to support finance, accounting, and operational functions for an international business operation based in Shanghai. This role involves statutory compliance, financial reporting, operational coordination, and administrative support in a fast-paced, startup-style environment.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting

• Manage daily bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger entries.

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filings, VAT refunds, and business licenses.

• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and local authorities.

• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to headquarters.

• Implement and uphold internal controls and proper financial documentation practices.

Operations & Administration

• Coordinate with suppliers, service providers, and freight forwarders for procurement and shipping activities.

• Work with customs agents and logistics partners to support import/export processes.

• Support the Head of Department with statutory documentation (visas, work permits).

• Oversee general office administration, including procurement of office supplies.

• Maintain organized records for finance, operations, and statutory documentation.

• Assist with HR-related tasks, including onboarding and coordination with local HR consultants.

• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulatory requirements.

Candidate Profile / Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 2–3 years experience in a similar finance/accounting role, ideally with operational exposure.

• Solid understanding of Chinese statutory and taxation requirements.

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.

• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (spoken and written).

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Proactive, reliable, and adaptable with a hands-on approach suited to a startup environment.
