Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven and commercially astute Assistant Manager – Sales & Marketing (Export / Import) to support and drive growth across ocean freight export and import segments. The role focuses on client retention, market expansion, end-to-end logistics solutions, and strong relationship management within the shipping and logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Retain and grow existing export and import ocean volumes through continuous engagement with key clients and trade partners.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand export and import market share.

• Develop end-to-end logistics solutions in collaboration with internal teams and clients, including intermodal services and value-added solutions.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.

• Support sales planning, forecasting, and achievement of assigned revenue and volume targets.

• Prepare sales reports, performance updates, and market analysis for management review.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors Degree recognized by UGC or an equivalent professional qualification in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of executive-level experience in sales within the shipping or logistics industry.

• Strong understanding of export and import operations, ocean freight, and market dynamics.

• Proven ability to manage key accounts and grow business portfolios.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications; familiarity with CRM systems is an added advantage.
