WE ARE HIRING: Field Sales Manager Electrical & Hardware Sector
Location: Sri Lanka (Island-wide travel required)
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory-wise sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Strengthen and expand distributor & dealer networks, ensuring strong product visibility across key markets.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate field sales teams; conduct regular coaching and performance reviews.
- Analyze market demand, competitor movements, pricing trends, and initiate appropriate responses.
- Drive customer acquisition and maintain long-term relationships with hardware stores, electrical traders, project contractors, and industrial clients.
- Ensure effective route planning, visit schedules, and territory coverage to maximize market penetration.
- Collaborate with marketing, logistics, and finance teams to ensure on-time deliveries, stock availability, and credit management.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales forecasts, territory performance reports, and present insights to management.
- Monitor credit collection, reduce outstanding dues, and ensure strong financial discipline within territories.
- Identify high-potential markets, dealers, and strategic expansion opportunities for future growth.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in Electrical, Hardware, or Industrial product sales within a competitive market.
- Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Strong computer literacy, especially in MS Office and reporting tools.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage key decision makers (dealers, contractors, engineers, project teams).
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capability, including coaching field staff and delivering consistent performance.
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills with the ability to report insights and performance to senior management.
- Valid riding/vehicle license and willingness to travel frequently across assigned regions.
- Experience in target-driven environments with a consistent record of delivering results.
