AML/CFT Officer /Designated Non-Finance Businesses and Professions (On Contract)

We Are Hiring - Senior Compliance Officer DNFBPs Sector Oversight

Responsibilities

• Assist in increasing the number of onboarding institutions in the DNFBPs sectors.

• Conduct off-site examinations and follow-up reviews of DNFBPs.

• Perform risk assessments for DNFBPs.

• Conduct sector studies and thematic reviews to strengthen compliance monitoring.
• Organize and deliver awareness programs, capacity-building workshops, and outreach initiatives across sectors.

• Support stakeholder coordination relevant to DNFBPs.

• Assist in conducting meetings and reporting activities as required.

• Oversee DNFBP sector activities and provide management support.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) management.

Educational Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in AML/CFT compliance such as ACAMS or Compliance Diploma preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 15 years of overall banking experience, including at least 5 years in AML/CFT compliance or risk management roles; OR
• Retired officers or individuals who voluntarily resigned prior to retirement age, with equivalent experience, will also be considered.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Excellent proficiency in Sinhala & English or Tamil & English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise, and well-structured reports and documentation.

• Strong analytical thinking and ability to work under pressure.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• High flexibility and adaptability in dynamic work environments.
