Role Overview

We are seeking a results driven Solar Sales Engineer to drive residential and commercial solar project sales across Colombo and surrounding regions.

The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, conducting site visits, preparing proposals and system designs, presenting solar solutions to clients, and guiding customers from initial inquiry through to signed contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for solar PV systems.
• Conduct site visits, energy assessments, and feasibility studies.
  
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and solar system designs.
• Present solar solutions to clients and close sales deals.
  
• Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Coordinate with the technical team for smooth project handover.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with residential and commercial clients.
• Follow up on customer inquiries and provide professional guidance throughout the sales process.
  
• Stay updated on solar products, market trends, competitor activity, and renewable energy solutions.
• Maintain accurate sales records, client updates, and pipeline reports.
  

Candidate Profile

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Sales and Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven experience in solar energy sales.
  
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, including on grid, off grid, and hybrid systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  
• Ability to conduct site assessments and explain technical solutions to clients.
• Sales driven, target oriented, and able to work independently.
  
• Good coordination skills with the ability to work closely with technical and project teams.
• Valid driving license and own vehicle will be preferred.
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or PVsyst will be an advantage.
• Professional, customer focused, and passionate about renewable energy solutions.
