Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced Manager - Finance & Accounts to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, compliance, and business performance analysis. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial information, maintain strong financial controls, support strategic decision-making, and drive effective working capital management. 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports within established timelines.
• Review accounts during monthly closing processes and ensure the validity of balances.
• Ensure adequacy of provisions and proper supporting documentation for all month-end entries.
• Oversee operational and revenue-generating inventory.
• Review reconciliations of inventory, supplier, and customer accounts and ensure adjustments are appropriately approved.
• Compile and analyze management information reports (MIS), highlighting variances against budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze financial performance against prior year results and management expectations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, finance policies, and internal procedures.
• Identify control deficiencies, duplicated effort, fraud risks, and non-compliance issues.
• Monitor key business and financial KPIs including cash flow, working capital, net debt, leverage, turnover metrics, EBITDA, and profitability.
• Support annual budgeting and forecast preparation in collaboration with business leadership.
• Ensure all payments are processed with appropriate supporting documents, approvals, and adherence to delegated authorities.
• Monitor accounts receivable and overall cash flow to optimize fund utilization and working capital.
• Support commercial teams with costings, feasibility studies, and business opportunity evaluations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure all required documentation is properly maintained.
• Review tax reporting requirements, liaise with auditors and tax specialists, and ensure timely compliance with statutory obligations.
• Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Sri Lanka).
• CA qualification obtained in 2019 or earlier.
• Minimum 7+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting, audit, or finance.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting controls, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Experience working with Oracle Hyperion, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial compliance requirements.
• Experience in cash flow management, working capital management, and business performance analysis.
• Ability to prepare management reports and provide meaningful financial insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience in the Fuel Retail industry will be an added advantage.
