Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of high-impact machine learning applications that support risk, revenue, customer analytics, and digital banking strategies.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing predictive models, developing personalization engines, applying advanced analytics to financial data, exploring Agentic AI solutions, and ensuring machine learning models are robust, scalable, governed, and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of production-ready machine learning models.
• Develop credit-risk scoring models to enhance lending precision and risk assessment.
• Apply predictive intelligence to support banking, revenue, and customer analytics strategies.
• Use pattern mining, behavioral analytics, clustering, and association-rule mining to identify customer trends.
• Analyze financial data to uncover hidden spending patterns, customer segments, and business opportunities.
• Develop and optimize Next Best Action models for upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
• Build personalization engines to improve customer lifetime value and digital engagement.
• Design and execute A/B tests and multivariate experiments to validate model performance.
• Measure the commercial impact of AI-driven business interventions.
• Explore and implement Agentic AI frameworks to support automation of financial reasoning tasks.
• Work with RAG-based systems, LLM orchestration tools, and vector databases when required.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to data scientists and machine learning teams.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high engineering standards across data science projects.
• Ensure proper model governance, monitoring, documentation, and quality controls.
• Maintain best practices in version control, CI/CD, and machine learning pipeline management.
• Collaborate with business, risk, IT, analytics, and digital teams to translate business needs into data science solutions.
• Communicate complex model outputs and performance metrics into actionable business insights.
• Monitor model lineage, bias, performance, accuracy, and governance requirements.
• Support continuous improvement of data science practices, model deployment, and automation workflows.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or a related role.
• Previous experience as a Data Scientist, Senior Data Scientist, Lead Data Scientist, or Senior Machine Learning Engineer will be preferred.
• Experience in the finance, banking, or financial services domain will be highly desirable.
• Expert-level knowledge of Python, Pandas, SQL, Spark, and Scikit-learn.
• Strong experience in machine learning, statistical modelling, predictive analytics, and model development.
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as Keras, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with Agentic AI, LLM orchestration tools such as LangChain or LangGraph, and vector databases will be an advantage.
• Experience working with data platforms such as GCP, BigQuery, and Hadoop.
• Experience with MLOps and infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Airflow.
• Strong understanding of model governance, model monitoring, data quality, and ML lifecycle management.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD practices for machine learning pipelines.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to identify model risks, bias, lineage issues, and governance gaps.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex financial datasets.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor, guide, and support junior data professionals.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across IT, analytics, risk, and business teams.
