Role Overview
We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the overall Finance & Accounts function of a leading Ready-Made Garments (RMG) organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, corporate planning, budgeting, treasury management, statutory compliance, risk management, financial governance, and business performance optimization. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will provide financial leadership that supports sustainable growth, operational excellence, profitability improvement, and informed strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the Finance & Accounts function and align financial objectives with overall business goals.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and internal control systems.
- Lead annual budgeting, business planning, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial strategy development.
- Prepare and present monthly Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and management reports to senior leadership.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive-level decision-making.
- Oversee general ledger management, financial reconciliations, receivables, payables, accruals, and fixed asset accounting.
- Manage inter-company account settlements and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Monitor working capital, cash flow, liquidity requirements, and treasury operations to ensure optimal financial performance.
- Supervise daily cash management activities, petty cash controls, and inter-unit fund transfers.
- Lead product costing, margin analysis, post-cost variance reviews, and profitability assessments.
- Provide pricing and commercial insights to production, merchandising, and business teams.
- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, fund requirements, letters of credit, and financing arrangements.
- Negotiate funding terms, banking facilities, and financial agreements to optimize business performance.
- Oversee export LC transactions and ensure accurate landed cost calculations for shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements including VAT, AIT, TDS, VDS, customs duties, and corporate filings.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Prepare annual statutory accounts, consolidated financial statements, and support tax return submissions.
- Strengthen internal controls, ERP processes, accounting systems, and financial reporting standards.
- Maintain and oversee fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and asset verification exercises.
- Drive cost optimization, operational efficiency, and profitability improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Monitor key business performance indicators and support data-driven business decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams while building a culture of accountability, compliance, and performance excellence.
- Undertake strategic finance initiatives and special projects assigned by Group Management.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, or equivalent is essential.
- Extensive senior-level finance leadership experience within the RMG/Apparel Manufacturing industry is mandatory.
- Proven experience leading Finance & Accounts functions within large manufacturing or export-oriented organizations.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and corporate finance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cost accounting, product costing, margin analysis, and manufacturing finance.
- Strong understanding of export operations, letters of credit, landed cost calculations, and international trade finance.
- Proven experience managing statutory compliance, taxation, audit processes, and financial governance.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, financial reporting systems, and accounting software.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence strategic business decisions.
- Excellent financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and people development skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with banks, auditors, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- High levels of integrity, accountability, and professional judgment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and lead organizational growth initiatives.
