Role Overview

The Unified Communications & Cloud Platforms Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting enterprise telephony and cloud communication platforms. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional capable of diagnosing and resolving complex communication issues, managing cloud-based systems, and leveraging data insights to improve day-to-day communications operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, configure, and maintain unified communications and cloud platform environments, ensuring performance, availability, and reliability

  • Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 support by diagnosing and resolving complex issues across communication and data platforms, including call routing, IVR logic, and workflow failures

  • Analyze call logs using SQL queries and data insights to improve call flows, routing, and operational performance

  • Implement and optimize integrations, automation, and workflows between telephony platforms and business systems

  • Ensure security, compliance, access controls, and data protection in line with organizational and industry standards

  • Oversee vendor relationships, licensing, renewals, and escalations for unified communications platforms

  • Maintain clear technical documentation and support internal teams through training and best-practice guidance

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Networking, or a related field

Experience

  • 3–4 years of proven experience administering and troubleshooting unified communications platforms and cloud-based data environments

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with RingCentral, Twilio, and cloud-based data platforms

  • Sound knowledge of SQL, Node.js, and Python

  • Strong understanding of VoIP systems, APIs, and cloud integrations

  • Familiarity with data lake architecture and data governance principles

Certifications (Optional / Added Advantage)

  • Cisco CCNA / CCNP (Voice or Collaboration)

  • Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer certification

  • CompTIA Network+
