Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to plan, manage, and oversee all purchasing and procurement activities. The role ensures timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and oversee all purchasing and procurement activities

  • Ensure timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with procurement policies

  • Coordinate with Finance, Stores, F&B, Golf Operations, and other departments to meet operational requirements

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and procurement procedures, including ISO standards (FSMS and QMS)

  • Monitor market trends and recommend cost-saving initiatives

  • Supervise and guide purchasing staff

  • Report directly to the Director Finance and, when required, to the General Committee

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree (BSc) or equivalent in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

  • ISMM qualification or qualification from a recognized institution

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in purchasing or procurement

  • Prior experience in the hospitality industry or a members club environment will be a strong advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

  • Sound knowledge of inventory management and procurement best practices

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management systems (preferably Scenter System)
