WE ARE HIRING: Software Engineer Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

• Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka
• Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement business process workflows and automation solutions to support operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Operations and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) teams to identify automation opportunities and convert them into scalable technical solutions.
• Build custom workflow components, integration logic, and user interfaces using modern development frameworks.
• Integrate workflows with external systems and APIs via REST or SOAP web services.
• Ensure that automation solutions follow security, scalability, and performance standards.
• Participate in testing, deployment, and continuous optimization of workflow solutions.
• Work closely with senior engineers and functional teams to deliver complete, enterprise-grade automation projects.
• Stay updated with emerging automation technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Java and/or.NET for backend workflow components.
• Strong frontend development skills using JavaScript, React, Node.js, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with SQL for database querying and management.
• Solid understanding of REST/SOAP web services for system integration.
• Familiarity with OCR technologies, content management systems, and IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) is a strong advantage.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices in automation environments.
• Prior experience in business process automation and workflow design.
• Experience in banking project development or familiarity with banking operations is preferred.
