Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced and technically accomplished Senior Project Engineer to lead the design, implementation, consulting, and support of enterprise technology solutions across diverse customer environments. The successful candidate will play a critical role throughout the entire project lifecycle, from solution architecture and technical design through implementation, testing, customer handover, and post-deployment support. This role requires a consultative mindset, strong technical expertise, outstanding customer engagement capabilities, and the ability to deliver complex projects within enterprise, government, and commercial environments.  

Key Responsibilities 

Project Delivery & Solution Implementation

• Design and deliver technology solutions through collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop technical architectures, solution designs, and implementation plans.
• Facilitate technical workshops and customer design review sessions.
• Validate proposed solutions with customers and ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings and customer planning sessions.
• Build and implement solutions according to project schedules, Statements of Work (SOW), designs, and contractual requirements.
• Capture business and functional requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation including high-level designs, detailed designs, implementation plans, and as-built documents.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, knowledge transfer, and customer training activities.
• Provide post-implementation support and troubleshoot issues following go-live.
• Act as the technical owner and escalation point throughout project delivery.
• Ensure project documentation remains accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
• Review project deliverables and ensure customer expectations are achieved.
• Participate in project handovers to managed services and support teams.
• Resolve assigned Level 3 technical support issues within agreed service levels.
• Develop permanent solutions and remediation plans for recurring technical issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery methodologies, standards, and technical processes.

Technical Leadership & Consulting

• Provide architectural leadership and technical direction across projects.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor to customers and project teams.
• Apply deep technical expertise to solve complex technical and business challenges.
• Support technology strategy discussions and roadmap planning activities.
• Contribute technical guidance during project planning and solution development.
• Ensure delivered solutions align with industry best practices and customer requirements.
• Mentor team members and share technical expertise across the organization.
• Drive innovation and recommend technology improvements that benefit customers.

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

• Provide technical pre-sales support to Account Managers, Business Engagement Managers, Program Managers, and Project Managers.
• Participate in customer meetings to understand requirements and support solution development.
• Assist in preparing Statements of Work, scopes, pricing estimates, labour costings, and solution proposals.
• Identify opportunities for follow-on projects and additional customer value.
• Recommend cost-effective solutions that align with customer tactical and strategic objectives.
• Contribute to business development activities through technical expertise and customer engagement.

Financial & Commercial Contribution

• Support achievement of annual services revenue targets.
• Participate in peer reviews of Statements of Work, pricing models, bill of materials, labour estimates, and service proposals.
• Contribute to team billable utilization and productivity targets.
• Proactively identify new opportunities for customer engagement and revenue generation.
• Escalate potential project overruns and resource risks when required.

Capability Development & Innovation

• Support the creation of sales and marketing materials.
• Participate in the development of new service offerings and go-to-market strategies.
• Contribute to organizational capability development and growth initiatives.
• Present technical thought leadership and technology roadmap recommendations.
• Support alignment with strategic technology partners and vendors.
• Drive continuous improvement and technical excellence across the delivery practice.

Candidate Profile

• Tertiary education, diploma, or relevant technical qualifications will be highly regarded.
• 5–10 years of practical experience across one or more of the following technology domains:
  • Collaboration & Unified Communications
  • Wireless & Mobility
  • Networking
  • Cyber Security
  • Cloud Technologies
  • Data Centre Infrastructure (Private, Public, Hybrid)
  • Compute & Storage
  • End User Computing
  • Middleware & Database Infrastructure
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience working within a Systems Integrator environment.
• Experience developing technology roadmaps and capability strategies will be highly regarded.
• Proven success designing, consulting, and implementing enterprise technology solutions.
• Experience supporting Enterprise, Government, and SME customers.
• Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Passion for technology and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and continuous learning mindset.

Preferred Certifications

• Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certifications.
• Vendor certifications from Cisco, HP Aruba, Palo Alto, Microsoft, VMware, AWS, Oracle, IBM, Riverbed, BeyondTrust, Meraki, CWNE, or equivalent technologies.
• Additional infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or networking certifications will be highly regarded.
