Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Quality Engineer to support quality assurance across data platforms, analytics solutions, ETL pipelines, reports, dashboards, and data transformation processes.

The selected candidate will be responsible for validating data accuracy, developing and executing test cases, supporting automation initiatives, identifying data issues, and ensuring testing activities are properly documented and traceable throughout the analytics lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of test strategies, test plans, and quality-engineering processes.
• Validate data models, reports, and dashboards against source systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency with approved business rules.
• Execute test cases for data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformations.
• Test data across the complete analytics lifecycle, from ingestion to reporting.
• Prepare and maintain test cases, test data, execution results, and supporting evidence.
• Perform data-validation checks covering completeness, transformation accuracy, aggregation logic, and reporting output.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data and identify inconsistencies.
• Contribute to the development of Python-based automation frameworks for regression and data-validation testing.
• Maintain and enhance automated test scripts where required.
• Identify, document, and track data-quality issues and software defects.
• Support root-cause analysis and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve identified issues.
• Ensure proper testing documentation, traceability, and defect management using Jira and Confluence.
• Participate in Agile activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, analysts, product teams, and other stakeholders.
• Follow established quality-engineering standards, processes, and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement of data-testing methods, automation coverage, and quality controls.
• Ensure all assigned testing activities are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, Data Quality Engineering, or a related role.
• Experience in ETL testing, BI testing, data-pipeline testing, or analytics testing will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write and validate queries.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python for test automation or data validation.
• Good understanding of software-testing principles, QA methodologies, and defect-management processes.
• Experience preparing test plans, test cases, test data, and execution results.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Google Cloud Platform will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of data models, ETL processes, data transformations, reports, and dashboards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams.
• Willingness to learn and develop further in data engineering and quality-engineering practices.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple testing assignments.
