Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Production to lead tea packing and production operations, ensuring customer orders are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will drive productivity, cost optimization, capacity utilization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the production function. 

Key Responsibilities

• Set the direction for the production function and translate business, customer, and commercial priorities into clear operational plans.
• Lead tea packing operations with a strong shop-floor presence, ensuring disciplined execution and timely delivery of commitments.
• Drive productivity, capacity utilization, labour efficiency, machine efficiency, and sustainable production cost improvements.
• Strengthen production planning, resource allocation, and operational controls to consistently achieve safety, quality, service, and efficiency targets.
• Anticipate and address bottlenecks, downtime, wastage, and process constraints through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, TPM, OEE, and operational excellence programs to enhance performance.
• Collaborate closely with planning, engineering, quality, procurement, warehousing, shipping, and commercial teams to improve end-to-end operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and production standards.
• Drive transformation initiatives and operational improvements that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Candidate Profile

• Degree or professional qualification in Production, Engineering, Operations Management, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant manufacturing experience, including leadership of a production function.
• Experience in tea packing or export-oriented food and beverage manufacturing will be a distinct advantage.
• Proven track record of improving productivity, cost efficiency, capacity utilization, and service delivery while managing operational risk.
• Demonstrated ability to lead transformation programs and deliver sustained performance improvements.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production planning, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Hands-on leadership style with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
• High levels of integrity, accountability, and operational discipline.
