About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and results-driven Assistant Manager – Sales & Marketing to support business growth, customer acquisition, and market expansion initiatives. This role is ideal for a commercially focused professional who is passionate about sales, customer engagement, and building long-term client relationships.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, identifying new business opportunities, managing the complete sales cycle, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive customer acquisition and achieve revenue growth targets with a long-term business development focus.
• Identify, qualify, and convert prospective customers while assessing potential market opportunities.
• Explore and develop new sales and business opportunities across diverse market segments.
• Achieve collection targets linked to sales performance.
• Deliver impactful product presentations, demonstrations, and customer engagements.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to successful deal closure.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, tender documents, and other commercial submissions accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are effectively fulfilled.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and customer information.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, Engineering Sales, Business Development, or a related field.
• Experience within the elevators, escalators, engineering, construction, building solutions, or related industry will be an added advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
• Proven ability to deliver compelling presentations and business proposals.
• Strong commercial awareness and customer-centric mindset.
• Fluency in both English and Sinhala.
• Strong IT literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
