About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Technical Officer to support machine servicing, repair operations, inventory management, and customer support activities. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely repair and maintenance of machinery, maintaining spare parts inventory, and delivering high-quality technical services to customers.

The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting capabilities, excellent technical knowledge, and a commitment to delivering reliable service while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Support technical and machine-service activities across the business.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure availability of essential spare parts and products.
• Provide timely machine repair and maintenance services while maintaining proper service documentation.
• Support sales activities, project sites, and operational requirements when required.
• Maintain inventory at required stock levels and monitor spare-part availability.
• Collect customer machines for repair services when necessary.
• Diagnose, repair, and test machines within agreed timelines.
• Deliver repaired machines to customers and maintain handover documentation.
• Receive, inspect, and store products, machines, and spare parts appropriately.
• Maintain updated records of products, spare parts, and repair activities.
• Attend to customer inquiries and maintain service history records.
• Support flooring site operations and technical activities as assigned.
• Repair machinery and equipment used within operational divisions when required.
• Assume responsibility for technical activities in the absence of senior technical personnel.
• Maintain high workmanship standards to minimize repeat service complaints.
• Assist sales and marketing teams with technical product support when required.
• Prepare and maintain service reports, inventory records, and technical documentation.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements

• Technical Certificate, NVQ, or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Previous experience in machine servicing, electrical repairs, mechanical repairs, or a similar technical role will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of machine inspection, servicing, and repair procedures.
• Hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Experience in spare-parts management and inventory control.
• Ability to use technical tools, equipment, and testing instruments safely and effectively.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• High level of responsibility, safety awareness, and commitment to quality workmanship.
