Role Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Information Technology (IT) to support the IT Manager in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and security of the organizations IT infrastructure across multiple locations. This role is hands-on and supervisory, focusing on system stability, user support excellence, and compliance with IT standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IT strategies, policies, and procedures to support business operations

• Support availability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure including networks, servers, storage systems, and end-user devices

• Assist in managing and monitoring IT networks across all locations, ensuring system security and uptime

• Support information security controls and safeguard IT assets and data

• Coordinate hardware and software procurement requests in line with approved standards

• Assist in configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, servers, workstations, and peripheral devices

• Provide second-level technical support and troubleshooting across the organization

• Coordinate with vendors and service providers and follow up on SLAs and maintenance contracts

• Maintain documentation of IT systems, configurations, licenses, and procedures

• Support IT initiatives related to system upgrades, expansions, and new technology implementations

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and IT policies

Candidate Profile

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline

Experience & Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar IT support or supervisory role

• Hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, and end-user systems

• Sound knowledge of preventive maintenance, system security, and troubleshooting

• Relevant professional certifications (Microsoft, Cisco CCNA, Compliant Network+) will be an added advantage

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with internal stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

• Experience in a retail or multi-location organization will be a definite advantage

• Willingness to support operations across multiple sites when required
