Location: Colombo 03 (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8.30 AM 5.30 PM) | First & Last Saturdays Half Day (8.30 AM 1.30 PM)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IS Auditor to evaluate, review, and strengthen the IT controls, cybersecurity posture, and regulatory compliance of our clients technology environment. The ideal candidate will carry out IT audits, assess risks, and recommend remediation actions while ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits of IT systems, applications, infrastructure, and security controls.

  • Evaluate general IT controls (GITCs), application security, and access management processes.

  • Assess compliance with regulatory frameworks such as:

    • CBSL Technology Risk Management & Resilience Guidelines

    • ISO 27001

    • PDPA

  • Identify IT and cybersecurity risks and propose corrective and preventive measures.

  • Review business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response readiness.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive audit reports outlining findings and recommendations.

  • Follow up on corrective actions with relevant stakeholders to ensure closure.

  • Collaborate with IT, security, compliance, and external auditors as required.

  • Maintain proper documentation and audit evidence in accordance with standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications such as CISA (preferred), ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or related credentials are an added advantage.

  • 1-3 years of experience in IT auditing, information security auditing, or relevant roles.

  • Experience working in regulated sectors (e.g., finance) is an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of IT risks, cybersecurity principles, and internal control frameworks.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with audit documentation and reporting.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
