About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Technical Production to provide strategic and operational leadership across technical and production functions. This role is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, driving productivity improvements, reducing operational losses, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will lead technical teams, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with cross-functional departments to enhance manufacturing efficiency and operational excellence. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall technical leadership for manufacturing operations.
• Ensure production processes consistently meet quality, productivity, cost, and delivery targets.
• Lead technical improvements in manufacturing processes, machinery, materials, and production methods.
• Work closely with Production, R&D, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Procurement, and Finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, technical standards, and company requirements.
• Identify opportunities for productivity improvement, waste reduction, cost optimization, and process enhancement.
• Establish and monitor technical and production-related KPIs.
• Develop technical competency within the production team through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Review and optimize manufacturing processes and production standards.
• Establish and monitor process parameters and operating standards.
• Analyze production losses, downtime, rework, material wastage, and process inefficiencies.
• Lead root cause analysis and provide sustainable solutions for technical and operational issues.
• Support new product development, product trials, and technical validation activities.
• Evaluate new technologies, equipment, machinery, and manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to improve machine reliability and technical performance.
• Review and enhance SOPs, work instructions, technical documentation, and process specifications.
• Prepare technical reports, performance reviews, and management presentations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives including waste reduction, productivity enhancement, process standardization, and 5S implementation.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience within manufacturing, engineering, electrical, cable, or wire industries.
• Significant experience in technical management and production leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing process optimization and technical problem-solving.
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Sound understanding of production planning and operational management.
• Strong project management and technical documentation capabilities.
• Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
• Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
