About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Travel Designer – English Speaking Markets to create exceptional tailor-made travel experiences for international travelers visiting Sri Lanka. This role involves managing the complete journey from initial inquiry through to post-travel follow-up while ensuring outstanding service delivery and memorable guest experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess strong destination knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of designing bespoke travel itineraries for English-speaking markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform partner enquiries into customized travel itineraries and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
• Manage and develop a portfolio of international tour operator partnerships.
• Build long-term relationships with travel partners and key stakeholders.
• Prepare accurate quotations while managing margins and maintaining cost efficiency.
• Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of accommodation, transportation, and travel experiences.
• Coordinate special experiences and customized travel requirements for guests.
• Handle VIP requests, guest concerns, and itinerary amendments promptly and professionally.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the travel journey.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of destinations, hotels, experiences, and travel products.
• Support business growth by identifying opportunities to enhance customer experiences and partner relationships.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience with a Destination Management Company (DMC).
• Experience handling UK, USA, or Australian markets is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in designing luxury and tailor-made travel itineraries.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lanka's destinations, hotels, attractions, and travel experiences.
• Experience using Tourplan or similar destination management systems will be an added advantage.
• Strong relationship management and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
