Role Overview 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Executive – Finance to support the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of a fast-growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing supplier and customer transactions, supporting financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance, and assisting with audits and finance operations. This role offers excellent exposure across accounting, taxation, financial reporting, reconciliations, and business finance while working within a dynamic and collaborative environment. 

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, payment vouchers, and vendor ledger reconciliations accurately and on time.
• Manage customer invoicing, collections, debtor follow-ups, and debtor reconciliations.
• Record accounting journal entries and maintain general ledger records.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate accounting documentation and financial records.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with VAT, SSCL, APIT, and other statutory tax submissions through RAMIS.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory regulations.
• Provide support during internal and external audit processes.
• Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation required for audits.
• Coordinate with banks, suppliers, customers, and internal departments on finance-related matters.
• Support cash flow monitoring and working capital management activities.
• Assist with finance process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting systems, controls, and reporting processes.

Candidate Profile

• Part-qualified CA, CIMA, ACCA, CMA, fully qualified AAT, or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience within a commercial organization or audit firm.
• Good understanding of SLFRS/LKAS and accounting principles.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial record management.
• Experience supporting taxation and statutory compliance activities will be an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with ERP systems will be an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and operate effectively in a fast-paced business environment.
• Good command of English and Sinhala.
