Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Marketing Counselor to promote education-related services, attract prospective clients, provide guidance on available programmes, and support business growth.

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting marketing visits, generating leads, counselling prospective clients, managing follow-ups, participating in promotional activities, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, institutions, and partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular marketing visits to prospective clients, institutions, and partner organizations.
• Promote available programmes, services, and educational opportunities to potential clients.
• Generate new leads through direct marketing, referrals, networking, and promotional activities.
• Counsel prospective clients by providing accurate information and addressing their inquiries.
• Understand client requirements and recommend suitable programmes or services.
• Handle incoming and outgoing office calls professionally.
• Follow up with prospective clients and maintain regular communication throughout the decision-making process.
• Support the achievement of monthly marketing, enrolment, and sales targets.
• Participate in promotional campaigns, exhibitions, seminars, school visits, and marketing events.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, institutions, and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of client inquiries, follow-ups, marketing visits, and promotional activities.
• Update lead information and client progress in the relevant database or customer-management system.
• Prepare periodic reports on marketing activities, lead generation, conversions, and client feedback.
• Monitor local market trends and identify new opportunities for client acquisition.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery and timely client support.
• Provide professional customer service and maintain a positive organizational image.
• Support other marketing and client-counselling activities when required.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in Marketing, Sales, Client Counselling, Business Development, Customer Service, or a related role will be preferred.
• Experience in the education, study abroad, training, or professional-services industry will be an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to counsel clients and explain programmes and services clearly.
• Good lead-generation, follow-up, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Comfortable conducting field marketing visits and meeting prospective clients.
• Ability to handle office calls and client inquiries professionally.
• Target-oriented with the ability to contribute to enrolment and sales objectives.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare basic marketing reports.
• Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, email, and database systems.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
• Customer-focused, proactive, confident, and willing to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple inquiries and follow-ups effectively.
• Willingness to work from the Kandy office during the stated working hours.
