• Role Overview
• We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager – Customs Brokerage to lead and manage the customs brokerage division as a key profit center. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and expanding business growth within a dynamic logistics environment.
• Key Responsibilities
• Operations Management
  Oversee end-to-end customs clearance operations including imports, exports, and multi-modal shipments
  Ensure efficient, timely, and compliant processing of all documentation and procedures
• Compliance & Regulatory Management
  Ensure full compliance with Sri Lanka Customs and BOI regulations
  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry standards
• Stakeholder & Relationship Management
  Build and maintain strong relationships with Customs, BOI, Port, Airport, and regulatory authorities
  Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
• Business Development & Growth
  Drive business development initiatives and expand key accounts
  Identify new opportunities to grow the customs brokerage division
• Financial & P&L Management
  Manage division profitability including cost optimization and revenue growth
  Monitor financial performance and ensure achievement of business targets
• Leadership & Team Management
  Lead, mentor, and develop the customs brokerage team
  Build a high-performing team culture focused on efficiency and compliance

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, documentation, and clearance processes
• Professional qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is preferred
