Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Executive – Financial Reporting & Taxation to support financial reporting, management accounts, statutory accounts, tax compliance, reconciliations, audit coordination, and general ledger maintenance.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely tax submissions, proper documentation, and compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager in finalizing monthly management financial statements.
• Prepare management reports, presentations, and financial summaries for review.
• Support the preparation of group financial statements and consolidated reporting schedules.
• Assist in finalizing statutory financial statements for group companies.
• Prepare and maintain schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents for financial reporting.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors by providing required schedules and supporting documentation.
• Prepare, review, and oversee bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations with related workings.
• Maintain the general ledger records of group companies accurately and on time.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly tax workings for tax payments.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns.
• Assist the Finance Manager in handling tax audits, tax inquiries, and special assignments with statutory institutions.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, tax records, audit files, and financial documentation.
• Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Identify and resolve accounting, reconciliation, and reporting discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal teams to obtain financial information and clarify reporting requirements.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure financial activities are carried out in line with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Assist in improving financial reporting processes, documentation standards, and internal controls.
• Perform any other finance, taxation, reporting, or accounting-related duties assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting, or auditing.
• At least 3 years of experience with a reputed audit firm is required.
• Part qualification in ICASL, ACCA, or CIMA is required.
• Full qualification in AAT or CMA will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounts, statutory accounts, and tax compliance.
• Good understanding of bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and accounting schedules.
• Experience preparing audit schedules and working with internal or external auditors.
• Hands-on experience in ERP systems is required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.
