About the job Office Clerk - Shipping Department
Our client based out of Montreal, QC is looking to add a full-time Office Clerk in the shipping department. The ideal candidate will work with the shipping, production, and sales departments to sort out the incoming and outgoing.
Responsibilities:
- Generate all shipping documents and maintain all records of bills of ladings, invoices, purchase orders, and all other records as required
- Accurately input required data into the ERP system after matching physical materials to shipping or receiving documents
- Implement material handling practices to reduce the risk of loss of damage to fragile or ESD-sensitive material when preparing material for shipment or receipt
- Understand the status of all incoming and outgoing material; such as raw components, processing supplies, outside WIP, and finished goods
- Keep in constant touch with the shipping companies for the order shipment.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups when larger packages are prepared to ship
- Keep warehouse and shipping & receiving areas clean and organized with a focus on safety & quality while maintaining SSD records for the plant
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in either receiving or shipping
- High School (High school diploma) or GED
- Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered.
