Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Insolvency Intermediate/Senior Accountant to join the team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will work closely with the team of experts to provide high-quality financial and accounting services to clients in various stages of insolvency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and other relevant documents for clients in insolvency

- Conduct thorough investigations and analysis of financial records to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for improvement

- Assist with the preparation of statutory reports and documentation required for insolvency proceedings

- Liaise with stakeholders including creditors, legal professionals, and regulatory bodies

- Collaborate with the wider team to develop and implement effective strategies for managing insolvency cases

- Keep up-to-date with relevant legislation and regulations related to insolvency and ensure compliance in all activities

- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members as required

- Contribute to the overall success and growth of the firm through active participation in business development activities

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in insolvency or a similar role

- CPA or CA qualification highly desirable

- Strong knowledge of relevant accounting standards and insolvency legislation

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

- Experience with insolvency software such as Xero or MYOB highly desirable
