Field Service Technician

Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical services, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, and ensuring all systems are functioning optimally. This role requires frequent travel to client sites, troubleshooting a variety of systems, and working closely with our engineering teams to deliver outstanding customer service and support.

Location: Houston, TX

Work will be in field with some travel required, willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair systems and equipment related to civil engineering projects, including energy systems, structural installations, and infrastructure components.

- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting of systems to detect malfunctions and determine solutions.

- Provide preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment, ensuring that systems are functioning properly and efficiently.

- Collaborate with project engineers and managers to deliver quality technical solutions.

- Prepare detailed service reports for every job completed, including work done, problems identified, and recommendations.

- Train and assist clients on the proper use and maintenance of systems.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and technologies.

- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and standards on-site.

- Provide emergency repair services when necessary, including after-hours support.

- Perform routine inspections and calibration of equipment.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully functional service vehicle with necessary tools and parts.

- Assist with logistics related to service visits, ensuring timely arrival and proper documentation.

- Build strong customer relationships by delivering high-quality, professional service.

- Report any client issues or feedback to upper management for resolution.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in engineering or a related field is preferred.

- 3+ years of experience as a Field Service Technician, preferably in the civil engineering or construction sector.

- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions.

- Willingness to travel frequently to client sites and work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays.

Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions 

Salary range:$28.00 - $40:00 hourly
