RN - Behavioral Health Adult Emergency

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the emergency room
• Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient needs based on acuity
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and symptoms
• Assist with diagnostic procedures such as sonography and spinal taps
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, and discharge planning
• Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment

Skills:

• - Strong clinical assessment skills to identify emergent patient needs
• - Proficiency in operating medical equipment such as neonatal ventilators
• - Knowledge of dementia care and the ability to provide appropriate support to patients with cognitive impairments

Requirements :

• Two years of Behavioral health experience is required
• Two years of emergency room experience is required

Education:

• New York State RN License,
• Primary Source Verification,
• AHA BLS,

Certifications & Licenses:

• BLS
• RN
• RN License
