ENVIRONMENT OFFICER
About the job ENVIRONMENT OFFICER
MAIN DUTIE:
1. Occupational Health & Safety and Environment responsibility
- Fully comply with OHS-PR-12 and ENV-PR-07; ENV-PR-09; ENV-PR-12.
- Must comply with all company QEOHS policy, procedures, standards, rules, regulations and will be measured against criteria outlined in Dialogue.
2. System compliance
- INSEE system compliance standards awareness;
- EMS ISO 14001, Vietnam environmental legislations & INSEE requirements;
- Participate in internal & external EMS ISO 14001 audit;
- Monitor findings and ensure all environment corrective actions conducted in time.
3. Environment performance
- Prepare Annual environmental program in coordination with corporate environment management approval;
- Plan and conduct regular environment inspection and monitoring according to plan at site;
- Ensure all testing equipment regularly checked and calibrated;
- Participate and supervise environmental monitoring 4 times/year. Send the result to the Local environment authority in coordination with the corporate environment;
- Participate and supervise workplace environmental monitoring 1 time/year. Send the result to the Local environment authority in coordination with the corporate environment;
- Regular monitoring for waste collection and classification;
- Regular water monitoring following water directive;
- Compile yearly PEP (Plant Environment Profile) and monitor action log to reach EPI target with corporate environment;
- Recommend measures for corrective actions or environment performance improvement and monitor for its implementation;
- Monthly report of site environmental performance and immediate alert in case of environment incident to corporate.
4. Environmental awareness training program
- Develop and organize training program at site in coordination with corporate environment;
- Conduct environment training according to the schedule;
- Support and communicate SD activities on the Together for Environment initiative to raise employees and stakeholders awareness on environment protection.
5. Stakeholder engagement
- Develop and sustain relationship with local authorities especially environment bodies;
- Inform corporate environment and participate meetings with local environment authority;
- Receive information, requests from DONRE or MONRE, for further implementation;
- Support all government inspection on the environment front;
- Support organizing regular Stakeholders Meeting and stakeholers site visit;
- Support call for volunteers and organization for local communities event.
6. Aesthetic apperance and landscape of the site
- Plan and implement plan of tree planting, improving of lanscape of the site;
- Develop and sustain site in green, lean solution;
- Organize site volunteer cleaning days with employees and external stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- University graduate, preferably in the field of Environment / Chemistry.
- Knowledge of cement/RMX industry and ISO 14001 / ISO 9001 is an advantage.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- More than 2 year experiences in environmental management, environment impact Assessment;
- Experiences in EMS of industrial factories;
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 /14001 standard preferred;
- Social & cultural experiences in communicating with different situations and people;
- Knowledge in Cement production technology is a plus;
- Good English and communication skill;
- Knowledge in EMS of INSEE and VN Environment legislation is a plus.
