Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced and customer-focused Paint Sales Official to join their team.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable retail professional with experience in paint sales, colour consultation, and customer service. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising customers on paint products, finishes, and colour selections while supporting the day-to-day operations of the department.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience within a dedicated paint or hardware retail environment and be confident working independently while delivering a professional and welcoming customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on paint products, colours, finishes, and application methods.

Drive sales by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable products and solutions.

Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every customer receives a friendly and professional experience.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current products, promotions, and industry trends.

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.

Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked, organised, and visually appealing.

Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.

Work independently and use initiative to resolve issues and improve the customer experience.

Support wider store operations and team activities as required.

Skills & Experience

Essential

Previous experience in paint sales, decorating supplies, hardware retail, or a related environment.

Minimum 2–3 years' experience mixing paint and advising customers on colours and finishes.

Good understanding of interior design, colour coordination, and paint application techniques.

Strong sales ability with confidence in upselling and cross-selling products.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to deliver high standards of customer service.

Ability to work independently and use initiative.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Professional, friendly, and approachable manner.

Desirable

Experience working within a dedicated paint or hardware store.

Passion for interiors, decorating, and current design trends.
