About Our Client

Our client is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to support the assessment, migration and modernisation of its technology environment. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across Azure architecture, cloud migration, governance and security.

About the Role

This is a senior cloud architecture position focused on designing Azure cloud environments, developing migration strategies and supporting the transition of infrastructure and applications to modern cloud platforms.

The role will involve working closely with development and infrastructure teams to design secure, scalable and operationally effective cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Architecture & Design

• Design Azure landing zones and cloud architectures.
• Assess existing infrastructure and application estates.
• Develop cloud architecture solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Support hybrid cloud and cloud-native solutions.

Cloud Migration & Modernisation

• Develop migration and modernisation strategies.
• Support the migration of workloads to Azure.
• Contribute to infrastructure modernisation programmes.
• Assess existing environments and identify opportunities for cloud adoption and optimisation.

Governance, Security & Operations

• Implement Azure governance, security and operational controls.
• Develop and support secure cloud architecture approaches.
• Advise on Azure cost optimisation and operational excellence.
• Support the development of robust and scalable cloud operating environments.

Collaboration

• Work closely with development and infrastructure teams.
• Provide technical guidance on Azure architecture and cloud transformation.
• Support the successful delivery of cloud migration and modernisation initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 8+ years' experience in infrastructure and/or cloud architecture.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years' Azure architecture experience.
• Proven experience designing Azure landing zones.
• Experience with Azure governance and security.
• Experience migrating workloads to Azure.
• Experience across identity, networking and security architecture.
• Experience working on infrastructure modernisation programmes.
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud and cloud transformation.

Desirable Microsoft Credentials

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Azure Administrator Associate.
• Azure Security Engineer Associate.
• Azure Network Engineer Associate.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop.
