About the job M365 Support Contractor (EU-Based)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced M365 Support Contractor to provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for a client in the Educational Technology space. The role involves supporting schools with their M365 environments, faculty and student devices, and assisting with onboarding new schools to the system.
This position requires a tech-savvy professional with excellent communication skills who is comfortable working remotely with a diverse group of users, including teachers, administrators, and IT teams.
Location: Remote (EU-Based) supporting an Ireland based company.
Hours: Minimum 10 hours per week (up to 40 hours per week mid-August to mid-September) Please note there are set periods with zero hours, as dictated by the school calendars.
Key Responsibilities:
- M365 Support:
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 remote support for M365 environments, including email, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other related applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to faculty and student laptops.
- Assist with user account management and permissions in M365.
- Pre-Sales Documentation:
- Collaborate with the sales team to prepare technical pre-sales documentation for onboarding new schools.
- Outline migration plans and provide technical recommendations to facilitate smooth transitions to M365.
- M365 Migrations:
- Support the migration of schools to M365, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to faculty and student operations.
- Address migration challenges and provide technical support during the process.
- Technical Best Practices:
- Advise schools on M365 best practices for security, storage, and collaboration.
- Provide training and guidance to faculty and administration as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in M365 administration, including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Strong experience in providing Level 1 and Level 2 support for IT environments.
- Knowledge of device management, especially Windows laptops.
- Familiarity with migrations to M365 from other systems or legacy setups.
- Communication & Documentation Skills:
- Ability to prepare clear and concise pre-sales documentation and technical plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with non-technical users and school administration.
- Availability:
- Flexible to work a minimum of 15 hours per week with increased availability during peak periods (mid-August to mid-September).
Additional Details:
- This role is fully remote, but the contractor must be based within the EU for compliance and GDPR requirements.
- Candidates with prior experience supporting educational institutions or working in the EdTech space are highly preferred.
