On behalf of our client, a leading Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) in the pharmaceutical sector, we are seeking a Cato SASE Implementation Specialist to lead the deployment and integration of a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution. This is a fully remote contractor role, with the potential for flexibility on contract length depending on the project timeline.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing a robust, cloud-native SASE solution to optimize network performance, enhance security, and support the organization's highly regulated operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Implementation Leadership:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of the SASE solution, including architecture design, configuration, and deployment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and align the implementation with the clients business and compliance objectives.

Technical Expertise:
- Deploy core SASE components such as SD-WAN, ZTNA, FWaaS, SWG, and CASB.
- Optimize network and security policies to support secure and efficient access for distributed teams and remote users.

Regulatory Alignment:
- Ensure the implementation adheres to relevant industry regulations, including GDPR, HIPAA, and pharma-specific compliance standards.

Performance Optimization:
- Leverage the SASE platform to optimize connectivity for cloud applications, SaaS platforms, and secure internet access.
- Monitor and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT teams, network engineers, and security professionals to ensure a seamless integration.
- Communicate progress and challenges effectively to senior stakeholders.

Documentation and Training:
- Develop detailed documentation of the implementation process, including configurations, policies, and workflows.
- Provide knowledge transfer and training to the clients internal teams to ensure long-term sustainability.
Key Requirements:

Technical Skills:
- Proven expertise in implementing and managing SASE solutions, ideally with platforms such as Cato Networks, Palo Alto Prisma, or Zscaler.
- Strong understanding of SD-WAN, ZTNA, FWaaS, and CASB components.
- Experience with network protocols, routing, and security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and identity management systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical compliance requirements (e.g., GxP, HIPAA) is a strong advantage.

Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in network security, cloud infrastructure, or IT architecture roles.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale SASE or equivalent projects for enterprise clients.

Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results within tight deadlines.

Certifications (Preferred):
- CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent network/security certifications.
- SASE platform certifications (e.g., Cato Networks Certified Professional).
