On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Financial Accountant.
About the Role:

The Financial Accountant will work with the finance team to ensure the delivery of high-quality service to key stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance & Operations, this role is responsible for financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and internal controls while contributing to strategic financial planning.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for group submissions.
- Liaise with group finance teams to ensure alignment with reporting requirements.
- Prepare annual financial accounts, maintain detailed audit files, and manage the year-end audit process.
- Ensure accuracy of all statutory returns, including bi-monthly VAT returns.
- Develop and monitor annual budgets in collaboration with management, tracking performance against targets.
- Update and implement business policies and accounting practices, enhancing the finance departments overall policies and procedures.
- Monitor internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
- Assist in providing cover for finance team members as required.
- Support financial growth planning through strategic cost analysis and pricing models.
- Develop an understanding of compliance within the Financial Services industry.
- Prepare and submit information for monthly payroll processing.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
- Establish and develop relationships with senior leadership teams and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to finance projects related to costing, pricing, and strategic analysis.
Skills & Expertise:
- Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Knowledge of the Financial Services industry is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with sound decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and statutory compliance.
