About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive net-new business growth across both public and private sector markets.

This is a senior commercial role with a clear focus on new logo acquisition, pipeline generation, and closing complex multi-solution deals. You will be responsible for building and converting a strong pipeline through a combination of your existing network and proactive outbound business development.

Operating at a strategic level, you will engage with C-suite and senior IT stakeholders while working closely with internal technical teams to design and deliver tailored Microsoft- and Cisco-led solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Pipeline Growth

  • Drive net-new logo acquisition across SME, mid-market, and enterprise organisations
  • Develop and execute outbound and inbound sales strategies to build a qualified pipeline
  • Leverage existing relationships while proactively identifying and targeting new opportunities
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close, including discovery, workshops, proposals, and negotiation
  • Consistently achieve or exceed revenue and activity targets

Solution-Led Sales

  • Position and sell a broad portfolio of MSP services, including:
    • Microsoft Azure migrations and optimisation
    • Microsoft 365 adoption, security, and governance
    • Infrastructure modernisation (server, storage, virtualisation)
    • Networking solutions (LAN, firewall, WiFi)
    • Cybersecurity, risk, and compliance services
  • Conduct consultative discovery sessions and lead solution-based sales conversations
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, architects, and delivery teams to design high-value, well-scoped solutions

Strategic Account Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level and senior IT decision-makers
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts through cross-sell and up-sell strategies
  • Align solutions to customer business objectives, compliance requirements, and long-term IT strategy

Performance & Sales Process

  • Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline visibility, and forecasting
  • Follow structured sales processes and ensure high-quality customer engagement
  • Stay current with Microsoft and Cisco technologies, partner programmes, and MSP market trends
  • Represent INNOVATE at industry events, partner engagements, and networking forums

Skills & Experience Required

  • 5+ years' experience in B2B technology sales within an MSP environment
  • Proven success in new business acquisition and closing net-new customers
  • Strong experience building pipeline through outbound prospecting and network development
  • Solid technical understanding of:
    • Azure and cloud transformation projects
    • Microsoft 365 licensing, security, and governance
    • Infrastructure (server, storage, virtualisation)
    • Networking and cybersecurity solutions
  • Experience selling into regulated or compliance-driven environments is advantageous
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Full clean driving licence
