Financial Accountant

Skillsource is partnering with a fast-growing, international company in the agri-services sector to recruit a commercially minded and motivated Financial Accountant. This position offers a blend of core finance responsibilities with commercial and customer-facing involvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, supporting sales operations, and contributing to strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Control

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations in collaboration finance team.
• Manage cash collection, credit control, and cashflow forecasting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, KPIs, and profitability analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to achieve EBITDA targets.
• Coordinate payroll, VAT, and statutory reporting (in partnership with external accountants).
• Drive improvements in financial systems and processes.

Sales & Customer Support

• Act as the central point of contact for customer queries, orders, and invoicing.
• Support the sales team with data insights, call lists, and performance dashboards.
• Maintain and develop CRM and accounting systems to ensure data accuracy.
• Analyse customer buying patterns and market trends to inform commercial strategy.
• Assist with marketing campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.

Leadership & Office Coordination

• Line manage the finance team and oversee back-office operations.
• Collaborate with production and logistics to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Contribute to the Irish Leadership Team on commercial and strategic matters.

Candidate Profile

Essential:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to link financial data to business strategy.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient in Excel and financial/CRM systems (e.g. Xero, Salesforce, HubSpot).

Desirable:

• Experience in a sales support or commercial finance role.
• Background in manufacturing, FMCG, or agri-tech sectors.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
