Nuclear Medicine Technologist - entry level

Position Summary

Performs diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, including general and cardiac studies and treatments. Uses advanced computer systems to process and present studies in a format ready for interpretation by nuclear medicine physicians.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program. 
• New Graduates who satisfy Licensing requirements are welcome to apply.
• Required Licenses/Certifications
  • NMTCB (CNMT), or ARRT (ARRT(N) )
  • Texas Medical Board-MRT
  • AHA CPR/BLS
• Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Ability to establish intravenous access
  • Ability to safely handle radiopharmaceuticals
  • Perform injections for Nuclear medicine studies
  • Follow required radiation safety protocols to satisfy Texas Radioactive Materials Licensing Board requirements.
  • Knowledge of EKGs and Stress Test Systems
  • Knowledge of Radiology Information Systems
  • Knowledge of PACS
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record Systems
