The Opportunity

We are looking for a commercially-driven Sales Engineer to lead our aftermarket growth strategy across Southeast Asia. You will be responsible for maximizing revenue through spare parts sales and service solutions, ensuring our industrial power products remain the first choice for our global client base. This role combines technical expertise in industrial engines with strategic sales planning to capture market share and drive long-term customer loyalty.

Core Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth & Market Capture: Develop and execute strategies to increase spare parts market share and meet annual sales targets for the region.
  • Aftermarket Promotion: Actively promote comprehensive service solutions and aftermarket products to our distributor network and end-users.
  • Pipeline Management: Proactively manage the sales cycle from lead generation to fulfillment, providing accurate forecasting and pipeline reports to management.
  • Technical Advisory: Provide expert technical advice on a wide range of industrial engine components (small to large capacity) to support distributor and customer requirements.
  • Inventory Optimization: Partner with supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels (including consignment stocks) to balance availability with cost efficiency.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the primary sales teams to identify and penetrate cross-selling opportunities within existing major accounts.
  • Presentations & Proposals: Create and deliver high-impact technical proposals and presentations for key stakeholders, customers, and prospects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving aftermarket workflows, pricing structures, and service delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in aftermarket sales, spare parts, or the automotive/industrial engine industry.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel within the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia region (approximately 10-15%).
  • Technical Background: Prior experience with industrial engine manufacturers or power generation products is highly advantageous.
  • Communication: Strong presentation and negotiation skills. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred to support regional bilingual stakeholders.
