JOB SUMMARY
The Field Service Technician is responsible for investigating customer complaints and resolving product failures. This role involves providing high-level after-sales technical support and on-site services to regional distributors and end-users. The incumbent will also assist in warranty claim processing and provide 24/7 emergency standby support as required. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installation & Commissioning: Execute equipment installation, commissioning, and provide on-site technical training based on specific project scopes.
  • Technical Support: Deliver timely troubleshooting and site services to ensure equipment remains operational and meets performance standards.
  • Product Expertise: Service a wide range of diesel generator sets (from small to large capacity) and support internal departments with service-related training.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date and organized technical manuals, service reports, and training materials.
  • Distributor Training: Provide specialized training to distributors and dealers to enhance their troubleshooting skillsets and ensure consistent regional service quality.
  • Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring all technical issues are followed through to full resolution.
  • Testing & Analysis: Provide technical assistance during factory testing for special projects and perform root cause analysis on equipment failures to recommend permanent solutions.
  • Warranty Management: Address technical aspects of warranty issues directly with customers.
  • General Support: Perform additional service and training duties as assigned by management. 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in power systems or heavy machinery.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel extensively across the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia regions.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, task-oriented mindset, and a collaborative team player.
  • Technical Passion: A strong orientation toward customer service and a genuine enthusiasm for power generation technology.
  • Preferred Skills: Prior technical experience with major industrial engine brands is highly advantageous.
