We are looking for an experienced and proactive Operations Superintendent for one of our global shippig clients. The Operations Superintendent will be responsible for managing the day-to-day marine operational activities of assigned container vessels to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant voyage execution.

The ideal candidate should have a CoC Class 1 (Master or Chief Officer) with sailing experience on Container vessels and least 2 years as an Operations Superintendent (Commercial Operations) in a ship-owning or management environment.

Key Responsibilities

Voyage Management: Oversee voyage execution, monitor vessel performance (speed/consumption), and optimize routing/stowage in compliance with Charter Party terms.

Operational Support: Provide technical guidance to Masters on cargo readiness, port regulations, and terminal requirements.

Commercial Coordination: Support the chartering desk with loadable/bunker requirements and manage port agency disbursements.

Compliance & Safety: Assist with terminal inspections, address NCR gaps, and conduct pre-joining briefings for Senior Officers.

Stakeholder Relations: Maintain proactive communication with Charterers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • CoC Class 1 (Master or Chief Officer) with sailing experience on Container vessels.
  • Minimum 2 years as an Operations Superintendent in a ship-owning or management environment.
  • Strong knowledge in Voyage Operations & Charter Party Management, Container stowage, port operation.
  • Ability to review loading/discharge plans and ensure vessel readiness
  • Experience handling charterer issues, operational disputes and claims
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, negotiation skills, and the capacity to manage multiple high-priority voyages.
